START HERE / THE BEGINNER ROADMAP
Your first affiliate project.
One clear step at a time.
Use this roadmap to go from an idea to a useful first page. Work through one step before adding another tool.
01
Choose a person you can help.
Write this sentence: “I help [a specific person] solve [a specific problem].” Start with something you understand well enough to explain clearly. A narrow starting point gives your content a purpose.
Your next move: list five questions that person asks before making a decision.
02
Understand the offer before recommending it.
Read the product information, limitations, pricing, and affiliate terms. Choose an affiliate program whose offer fits your audience, and understand its approval process before planning your promotion.
Your next move: write who the offer suits, who it does not suit, and why you would recommend it.
03
Publish one useful decision page.
Answer a real question. Explain the options, the trade-offs, and the next step. Say what you have personally used or tested, and distinguish that from information supplied by a vendor.
Your next move: draft one guide with a clear title, a useful answer, and one relevant call to action.
04
Make the next step obvious.
Use descriptive links and explain any affiliate relationship clearly near the recommendation. Check the program’s rules before shortening or redirecting its links. If you collect email addresses, make the purpose of signup clear.
Your next move: open every link on your phone and check that it reaches the intended destination.
05
Learn from the first visitors.
Share the page where it answers an existing question and where sharing is welcome. Track visits, outbound clicks, and any confirmed conversions separately. A click is interest; it is not a sale.
Your next move: improve one unclear section using an actual reader question. Repeat.
